Seeing the potential of a site that has a 14.5m
vertical drop and a 40-degree slope is something
many builders would struggle with.
For Weststyle, it was a welcome challenge, and
successfully met. The clients wanted the home to
maintain views of significance yet appear subtle
from the street. After the land was heavily terraced
and retained, cranes were used for site access to
begin creating an elevated masterpiece.
The home is expertly slotted into the site. Entry
is through the top level (occupied by bedrooms), the
journey through the house ‘down the hill’ into
a light and fresh open-plan kitchen and living space.
The warm, natural-stone floors flow through
to the outdoor area, neatly meeting the timber
decking that leads to the 13m solar-heated lap pool
with vanishing edge.
The upper level of the home overhangs from the
decked pool area, suspended over the valley
to create a one-of-a -kind residence.
Turning your dream home into a reality, no matter what
the challenges, is something Weststyle does with flair.
