Urbane Projects BUILDERS
Having lived on the block for years in an older
home, the clients had always liked the concept
of seeing from the front of the block through
to the back.
Urbane Projects created a design that included
extensive use of glass to achieve openness and
transparency while warming the interior with rich
tones and quality products throughout.
The brief also required multiple entertaining
areas and the retaining of certain mature trees,
which were featured around the pond located in
the new, central open courtyard.
A well-planned alfresco area located
between the rear pool house and the kitchen
features a communal countertop, so entertaining
can include the whole family.
The internal kitchen is a show-stopper, with
an 80mm marabescato corchia marble top island
bench becoming the home’s gathering point. The
bronze mirror splashback complements the rich
tones of the warm yet reflective veneer cabinetry.
Collectively, these finishes result in a minimalistic
yet dramatic kitchen that’s the hub of the home.
It was also important to the clients that the
spaces were able to evolve as their needs changed.
The new pool house, complete with ensuite,
is currently being used as a children’s games
room but can be adapted as the family grows.
This home has been designed with a mix of
private and family areas, providing numerous
spaces for activity and relaxation.
