This boutique building business specialises in new homes, additions and
renovations and encourages its clients’ involvement every step of the way.
Designed to replicate the homes in the New
England region of America, this residence was
built using conventional techniques to ensure
budget constraints were met.
Architect Ariane Prevost worked with the clients
and Mulberry Homes on a design that met the brief
and council requirements and energy regulations.
The 650sqm site needed preparation to navigate
the 1.5m slope from rear to front. It necessitated
careful planning for the double garage/basement
that was excavated into the ground, including soil
stabilisation on the eastern boundary.
All the necessary design features for modern
living are represented in this home, including
large bedrooms, a fully appointed kitchen, and
an open-plan living space that opens to the
beautifully decked alfresco and pool area.
Engaging every opportunity to make the best use
of outdoor areas while within the Hamptons style,
the timber decking continues on the front verandah
and over balcony and terrace areas.
Timber windows play a pivotal role in achieving
the desired architectural era, with oriel (similar
to bay style), arched and sash windows creating
distinct focal points inside and out.
A brilliant white colour scheme throughout
accents the polished wide jarrah floors and
