Reflecting their European background with
Spanish and Tuscan-themed architecture was one
of the main requirements on this clients’ brief.
The designer and builder worked closely with the
clients through all stages of the process to ensure
each brief point was met. Since the home was being
constructed on the rear, north-facing, sub-divided
lot, it was necessary to ensure that the home sat
harmoniously within its surroundings.
The clients also wanted to include a large
open-plan living/dining downstairs, an oversized
garage, and an upstairs entertainment area
equipped with a bar.
Incorporating European architectural influences
into the design was accomplished through the use
of specific styles and materials.
This theme is instantly noticeable from the
front elevation, which features rendered arches
with wrought iron balustrading to the balconies,
and a solid timber entry door with a wrought
iron ‘D’ handle.
European inspiration continues with a well-
appointed kitchen boasting solid marble benchtops
and stainless steel appliances. It sits alongside the
large living and dining areas, which open through
bifold doors to the alfresco and outdoor kitchen.
The visually impressive flavour of this home
offers a practical design for modern, comfortable
family living to reflect a laid-back Perth lifestyle.
