Kalamunda | Daniel Cassettai Design BUILDING DESIGNERS
Daniel Cassettai and his team are taking a modern
rural approach towards this abode (currently in
the planning phase), focusing on merging the
indoor and outdoor living areas.
The outline is loosely based on a pavilion theme,
with the bedrooms and guest rooms appearing
detached from the main living areas.
A visitor’s/parents’ private suite was to include
an ensuite, walk-in robe and sitting area with
secluded decked retreat. This multi-purposed wing
is designed to cater for guests or a live-in addition
to the family without losing privacy or space.
A glazed passage acts as a feature entry to the
rear living area and reveals the outdoor pool and
garden zones. This living area is also surrounded
by highlight glazing which contributes to
uninterrupted ambient light and creates a floating
effect for the feature flat roof.
The clients had particular desires for a mix of
materials to be used. The DCD team combined
steel, glass and feature stone to create a warm
and balanced feeling throughout the home.
Externally, the 1500sqm lot will eventually
be sectioned, with screening to allow for a small
orchard at the rear of the property.
