timber flooring and stair treads are great examples.
High ceilings, doors and frames are continuous
clean elements applied to this design that present
a feeling of generosity to the eye.
Externally, the clever use of space continues
with a small lap pool occupying the void between
the kitchen and boundary wall. The pool is also
visible from the full-length living area windows,
creating a tranquil atmosphere as well as injecting
a brilliant blue hue through the internal space.
With special touches like an elevator and
surround sound throughout, the architecturally
impressive home has all the creature comforts.
A 2.4x4.5m picture window in this home frames
the panoramic Indian ocean view perfectly.
The generous 500sqm family home in City Beach
features a seamless floor plan that includes a kids’
zone, open-plan study/design area, and a large
open-plan living space. The whole project has been
delicately designed around an existing pool
and a two-metre slope from front to back.
The articulated northern panel forms create
the required privacy screen while still welcoming
streams of northern light. Feature materials
of Corten (weathering steel), exposed concrete,
polished plaster and steel are carefully selected
for their raw and unpretentious qualities.
With a considered respect for exposure
to the coastal elements, this residence will
stand the test of time.
A sophisticated and elegant ‘beach shack’, this
residence exudes a feeling of warmth and texture
throughout, as well as including an abundance
of practical features.
With generous proportions in all areas, it’s
the perfect family home and a great entertainer.
Sleek lines and walls of glass contrasting with
dry stacked limestone create interest and intent
at every step throughout the residence. Designed
with flexibility in mind, there is even an option to
include a ‘lift’ zone for prospective buyers to easily
incorporate an elevator if desired.
The home is generously landscaped to sit
perfectly within the leafy green suburb of Cottesloe.
With enough parking for three cars and two
visitors, this design ticks all the boxes.
