At Tiles Expo, you can see, touch and feel
the latest tiles from around the world, and
experience visual displays of new technology
that is revolutionising the tile industry
iles Expo in North Perth is a
long-standing family business. Owned
by the Salomone family, it’s grown from
a small business in 1982 to a thriving retail and
commercial hub, presenting clients with the latest
flooring styles and trends from around the world.
Mark Salomone says the two-storey North
Perth designer showroom has a floor area of
750sqm and enables the company to really
showcase its exclusive products.
A large part of this extensive showroom
is Tiles Expo Architectural, which focuses
specifically on architectural ranges and tiles
for building and commercial projects.
One such product is the Kerlite range, featuring
an amazing advance in tile technology that
produces a tile only 3.5mm thick with greater
strength than a 14mm-thick porcelain slab.
Versatile, lightweight and easy to maintain,
Kerlite can be laid directly over existing material
using impressive 3×1m tiles. These larger
slabs mean less grouting, making Kerlite ideal
for settings like healthcare facilities where
hygiene and cleanliness are essential.
New from Panaria is Doghe 0.3, which
offers the look of timber with the strength and
durability of laminated porcelain stoneware.
And at a mere 3mm in thickness, the slim,
wood-look tiles can be used for both floor and
wall applications, and are slip and stain-resistant.
