The view of the pool from all areas of the

of indoor/outdoor living.
stablished in 1997 by Ross Griffin and Bruce
Laan, Ross Griffin Homes continues to
impress with its latest accolades including
the 2010 MBA award for Innovative Construction
in Small Lot Design, and the 2011 HIA award
for Best Outdoor Project.
In 2008 Ross retired and handed the sales
and marketing reins to his daughter, Emma
Benney, while Bruce, as the certified engineer
and registered builder, runs the construction
and pricing operations.
Every consultant has been in the industry at
least 20 years and can individually design homes,
while two in-house designers support them with
showcase displays and by producing 3D elevations
and computer modelled ‘walkthroughs’.
An almost flat 850sqm block just a few houses
from the riverfront in Attadale provided Ross
Griffin Homes with this dream building site.
The owners wanted a home that could adapt
to the changing needs of their growing family –
a space that was flexible and would provide luxury
living, spacious entertaining areas and privacy
for teenagers and overseas guests.
The design team created a ‘pod’ home.
Rather than the house sitting under one main
roof structure, the pod home allows each pod to
have a separate roof joined by a series of linkways.
By creating separate living areas, the client
can lock off parts of the house and live in just
