Million Dollar Makeovers needed to transform
this newly built, four-bedroom, three-bathroom,
riverside apartment into a luxurious space that
would have appeal in the highly competitive
executive market. Given that all the apartments
in the building looked the same, this one really
needed to stand out.
Incredibly, Sasha and her team completed
the makeover in just three days. They started by
changing the kitchen cabinet doors from a sedate,
wood-grain material to a sophisticated, glossy
white laminate. A feature splashback of sparkling,
black-and-silver tiles adds a touch of glamour.
In the bathroom, the cabinet doors were
changed to black, mirrored glass, while the vanity
top was replaced with a striking black one.
Dramatic black carpet was laid throughout
the apartment and the team added splashes of
patterned wallpaper. Two support columns in
the main living area were also wallpapered and
Sasha placed the dining table between them. A
chandelier was installed overhead to make the
dining space a focal point.
Black-and-white, New York skyline wallpaper
not only greets guests in the main entrance hall,
but also sets a glamorous tone for the rest of the
apartment. Well thought-out finishing touches,
such as black-and-white furniture, ‘blinged-out’
light fittings and silver padded privacy screens,
dotted with Swarovski crystals, carry the theme
throughout the rest of the home.
With wrap-around views of the city, river
and hills, this apartment was always going to
impress, but thanks to the passion and creativity
of Sasha and the Million Dollar Makeovers team, it
now stands proudly in a league of its own. And all
stylishly transformed in just three days - wow!
