atmosphere from the stern of a cruise ship.
A variety of techniques were employed to maximise
the ocean views. Large windows spanning almost the
entire width of the home allow for uninterrupted vistas
from every room at the front of the home.
The clever open plan design focuses on large spaces
with lots of light and ventilation.
The living area is a prime example, the huge space
merging seamlessly with the alfresco kitchen and pool area.
With nothing but glass doors separating the internal
space from the external, you are treated to an ocean
view even during a splash in the backyard swimming pool.
Frameless glass balustrading envelops the pools,
further contributing to the wide, open space feel of the
home and again enhancing the ocean view opportunities.
The clients' desire to create the glamorous look
of a cruise ship is apparent throughout the home.
From the finer details, including the sculpted door
handles in a stylised "s" shape that symbolise a wave,
to the home's staircase, designed to mimic the luxurious
staircases commonly seen in cruise ships.
The nautical theme continues out onto the balconies,
which feature stainless steel balustrading.
