Cambuild was enlisted to build a classic home, with
features reflecting the wide verandahs and elegance of
other homes in the area. At the same time, the owners
requested functional, well-zoned spaces with plenty of
natural light and air.
There was to be a strong visual and physical link with
the outside living areas and the owners wanted to take
advantage of the long north-facing side of the site.
Part of the brief was to conceal the garage from the
front elevation and provide plenty of outdoor living space,
including a 25m lap pool and grassed areas for the children.
Adopting an Australian colonial style for the exterior
and a more contemporary style inside, this home
successfully combines classic features with modern
finishes and technology.
In order to create the simple, classic look the
owners desired while incorporating the latest home
automation technology, Cambuild needed to consider all
aspects of the architect's design from the earliest stages
of construction. This meant factoring in a fully automated
smart wiring control system, climate control, an integrated
vacuum system and reverse cycle air conditioning.
Automated security gates and an internal security system
were fitted upon the project's completion.
Featuring wide, colonial-style verandahs, the home
is constructed from double brick with an AcraTex wall
finish and Colorbond roof. Attention to detail in the
THE MAIN LIVING areas and
ensuite look on to an alfresco
area and stunning 25m lap pool.
WIDE VERANDAHS give the
home a colonial feel and allow it to
blend in with similar homes in the area.
