The owners of this character cottage in Nedlands
wished to modernise the living areas of their
home while staying true to the character of the
The design team worked closely with the
client to tailor a makeover package to meet brief
and budget, including not only the strip-out and
renovation components, but also allowing for
appliances, lighting, flooring and painting.
The kitchen was remodelled and fully
renovated to feature classic white cabinetry
with brushed nickel handles, and a stunning
Acquello Double Fireclay kitchen sink with
Forty millimetre Black Galaxy granite
benchtops were installed, featuring square,
polished edges. New modern appliances were
fitted, including a steam oven, integrated
dishwasher and wine cabinet.
Other wet areas, comprising the laundry,
bathroom and powder room, were fully
renovated to incorporate an uncomplicated,
classic white palette.
Elsewhere in the home, the main bedroom
was re-styled, and new recycled floorboards
were installed throughout to relate to the
original character. Ornate mouldings were added,
and the home was repainted.
